On paper, Theo is not so likable at first. Her kind heart and sassy attitude make her a character I can get behind and cheer for. It wouldn’t have happened with anyone else, because Lizzie just gets Theo in ways no one else does. I absolutely adore how Lizzie brings Theo to life, how she makes him aware of the world around him and helps him enjoy living. There is just something about the way she thinks and writes that draws me in and keeps me glued to my kindle from start to end. I absolutely adore Annika Martin’s unrestrained humor and crazy characters. So when Lizzie can’t find a single wake-up service who will deal with Theo, she ends up making the call herself, and quickly things progress beyond normal parameters. But she can’t rock the boat for another week, or she’ll lose her desperately needed bonus. Until Lizzie, who thinks Theo is a bit absurd. He’s brilliant but surly, unintentionally scaring his employees into going along with whatever he thinks. Billionaire CEO/scientist Theo lives in his own world, consumed with his formulas and life-saving products. The Billionaire’s Wake-Up-Call Girl is one of the funniest, sexiest books I’ve read in a while – probably since the last Annika Martin title I devoured.
